Speaker 1:I'm absolutely not joined to you because I've never met you in real life. So, lol, no, but really co-host Mia, sitting right opposite me in the computer but not joined to me. So what up, y'all, what up. Oh, we just had a cracking conversation inside the membership. We did a cheeky little mastermind for everybody in there that we're going to drop into the membership in the coming days and we want to talk about it because we just came off that live and we're like buzzing and thought it was a good topic to talk to you about, because we know I was about to say we're no gatekeepers and then I did a TikTok ages ago about how I hate people that say that and I was like could we be what was?
Speaker 2:the new word that came up with.
Speaker 1:I know I wish I could remember now, but it was something that I remember. Somebody in the comments mentioned was like that seems all they all seem very sexual. I was like, well, chat GPT did it not me no, we're not gay.
Speaker 2:You can be seen. We like to share everything that we learn with you guys and, like we always say, you are oh, I reckon.
Speaker 1:And it's one of those things that you know with anything like the amount of people that are like oh, you could Google that online. You Google that, I know, but that stuff takes time. So when people can give you a little bite-sized bits, you can take them, run with them, use them, implement them. But sometimes then you know, like with the membership, it takes them the community to come back over and over again to relearn those things or check up on things or whatever. So when you give yourself away for free, it doesn't mean people will never potentially purpose from you oh my God, purchase from you. I wish I had a drink. Maybe I have been drinking. It doesn't mean they won't purchase from you. It means that they probably will purchase for you. They're building that trust because if you're giving that away for free, imagine what you're giving when you get paid for it. So, um, yeah, for that case, I think it's really important to remember in this space just to give the good stuff away and don't gate keep. So, mia, tell me how are you feeling today? I?
Speaker 2:am, I'm ready to level up, damn, I'm ready mic drop.
Speaker 1:I was about to say if I had a mic I'd drop it. You're speaking to a mic dickhead. No, don't.
Speaker 2:It's like $300.
Speaker 1:No. So, yes, ready to level up. That is what we spoke about today inside the membership, and what that really means is you want to take people through what that means, mia, and why we decided it was time to have these conversations within our membership. And for those that don't know our membership, maybe we should do just a little. Hey, if you are new here, welcome. We are a little bit loose and we just like to share everything we know so that you can start your digital business. And right now, inside the membership, called the Hype Hub Collective, everything you need is in the show notes.
Speaker 1:We are taking our members into the digital founder space. So lots of our members are kind of curious creators, digital dabblers, like just getting really intrigued, interested, what is possible for me online, like is it ugc, is it digital marketing? Is it digital products? You know what is? Is it a podcast, is a blog? All those things that excite and ignite our interest in this space and in that particular space. We've got a lot of information that we share with our members, but right now we're about to take them into the digital founder mode, up-levelling and starting to want to create more for themselves and want to see what's next what's really possible when you look at the bigger space of digital marketing and that's kind of that digital founder space is where we're taking them to. So we spoke to them today around how they can actually move to the next level. So do you want to tell us how they can move to the next level?
Speaker 2:So a lot of our members, you know, like we said, they're being curious. They might have created a digital guide or an ebook or done some UGC and they're getting really comfortable with being in this space, understanding all the fundamentals, which is what we've got inside our membership. All the fundamentals are there, but a lot of them are ready to take it to the next level and start creating their own higher ticket course membership subscription. So we're really taking them onto that next stage of where they need to be in our digital founder section of the hive, and we're talking to them about backing their idea before they go and build it. And there's a lot of important things that you need to work through before you start building out something that potentially no one's going to buy, and that's it.
Speaker 1:And I think it's what's really cool about that is we've done that several times. It's something that we've learned from James Wedmore and his teaching in terms of how he monetizes before you make something, so that you really are just saying to your audience hey guys, if I created an XYZ, would you want that? And your audience might say like, yeah, that'd be great, that sounds amazing, what a good idea. And then you go and put a price on it and the audience go, um, but I'm not going to pay for it actually. So there's a difference between just yeah, just getting that validation where people go, yeah, what a great idea, love that. And then where people go, actually here's my money, and then you can actually create it. So we've taken his idea philosophy behind that and then we've changed it to suit our audience, who are people potentially like yourself that are curious in this space but maybe not ready to go yet, and you really just want to know what ideas are actually possible for me, like what, how could I even start this? And you know, so we we have really made it our very own and simplified it and some processes that we've been through in our business that have worked for us and where we are and implementing them to share them within our community. So today we went through that kind of the first starting point of that, which is like creating the idea really and just seeing if it's the concept itself is a good idea to potentially create as something that you want to sell. So we had to take people kind of out of their own thought patterns of you know what's happening today.
Speaker 1:If you're in the digital marketing space and you're listening to the podcast and you've heard of Masterisa, rights you may not have, and if you haven't, it's something that people create. At the moment in digital marketing there's a course or there's several courses that people have created them and then you can onsell them for 100% profit Now the terms and conditions and things involved in that, and so the digital marketing space in the last year has changed a lot in terms of this huge wave of creators going great, I could buy that course. Some people are implementing it incredibly and using those skill sets to grow their own business, and then you're able to on-sell that course to your audience for a hundred percent profit, where you don't really have to do any work to make the digital product or to create the thing. You simply just get to kind of ride this digital wave that says, oh, I've made $50,000 this month because of my digital product and you can too, which then they can on-sell it and that person can actually do that because they're still riding that digital wave. So it's a very unique landscape and one that we are supporting inside our membership, because we know that's what's going on right now.
Speaker 1:But what we are doing is taking people to the next level, where they're like they either hate I haven't purchased the roadmap with Masterisa rights they don't know what it is or they have and they're like hang on a minute, I'm now ready to create a life where I'm selling my own digital product, I'm selling my own digital course or creating a membership out of the things that I love to do, that I'm passionate about, that I just want to talk about every single day and make this a lifestyle, make this a career for me. So we had some really good ideas, good conversations about that today, and that's kind of what we wanted to chat to you about, to get you thinking is this a place or a space you're sitting at right now? So are you ready to level up? Are you ready to go from? You know what.
Speaker 1:Imagine if I created a digital product and I sold it over and over and over and over again. What does that look like? Or imagine, you know, I love community, I love building communities, I want to be surrounded by like-minded people. Oh, I could create a membership. What does that look like? So these are the conversations we had today and we will kind of go through and break down maybe, if you haven't looked at it this way what that looks like and even shoot you some ideas so that you can start thinking outside the box, which we think is really, really important in this space, to get you outside the box, thinking differently, and what that might look like and helping you get out of that imposter syndrome.
Speaker 2:We've had a lot of conversations with our members where they're like, oh, I don't think people would buy that or how could I possibly make money off this thing that I'm passionate about? Okay, let's break it down. Let's figure out is this solving a problem, who is it solving a problem? For All that fundamental stuff. And then when you come to your idea and it suits you know, is it a business model that suits your brain, your lifestyle, what you want to do, let's validate that idea and get you paid before you go and spend, you know, hours and hours and hours building it to find that no one's going to buy it.
Speaker 2:And then you feel like crap and you think this is not for me and when you could have just done a few steps before you got to that point, implemented them to validate the idea, and then you're ready to rock and roll. So and we took our members through a bit of a brainstorming process where we talked about different ideas, different niches, how you could monetize it, a few examples of people that we know who have taken their idea and done really, really, really well with it, even down to pattern making. A membership that's like a six figure membership on pattern making. Don't let your imposter syndrome think that the idea that you've got isn't going to work and no one's going to buy it. But this is why we do the back it before you build it, so you can know a hundred percent.
Speaker 1:Okay, yep, people are going to buy this, it's worth my time and it's something that you, when you do this process of what is possible for you and what lights you up, like you really do need to go down to the fact of what excites me. What could I teach someone that solves a problem? What problem have I solved for myself that I could share with someone else, that I could take them through this process? So it's all about starting to think about, like, if you're right now thinking, okay, I do want to create something of my own, then what we would say the first thing to do is just get a piece of paper, like we told everybody today, and just write down, say, 20 things that you're passionate about, 20 things that excite you. Just get every idea out of your mind onto a piece of paper. In terms of idea, I mean, what's something that you could teach people, what's something that's exciting and some people might. You know, when you're doing this, you also do need to think like does it excite me? Because you're going to have to talk about it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. You can pivot and you can change and you can add, but at the end of the day, if you want to create, say, a digital course or a membership, it does need to be niched down so that you are speaking directly to the person that needs it and solving a specific problem or a specific specific problem. And one thing that we do say and we have this through basically everything that we create and everything that we share is what we call the who method. Now, it's who with three W's, so it means the who is it for? What do they want? Why do they need it, how will it help them? And then you offer a solution and so when you break that down, this is the basis of basically how to create good content, how to create a good ebook, how you can create a good course. So if you're thinking, okay, cool, I have this really, really ripper idea to create, for example, inside the membership, we have an incredible VA.
Speaker 1:Now Belle is a VA. We've spoken on a podcast about Belle before, but she has a business as a VA. Now she did a masterclass with us recently. It was like, wow, this was really fun, I really liked it, and you know what People were like, wanting to ask me questions and they really wanted to know more, and I just love this stuff. And then then that kind of is the catalyst. Like if people are asking you questions and people are giving you the evidence that what you have is good, then roll with that. So then there is an opportunity for Belle to go.
Speaker 1:Okay, I could create a course that teaches somebody beginner of how to become a BA, how to become a VA, and even more so she does it traveling in her van, her caravan, around Australia. So she's got a niche market that she could sell a course to, say, mom's traveling Australia, her business VA in a van, and so if she wanted to, she could niche down to speak directly to other people that are traveling that want to become VAs, on their own time zone, doing their own thing. Like she could niche down that tight if she choose to, or just niche down to teach people how to become a VA in the way that she can teach them the skillset and things like that. But niching down is going to be incredibly helpful because if you talk to one person it's far better than talking to everybody in that room. We've been over this before If you're shouting it from a rooftop in a busy room, it's not as effective if you're talking to one person.
Speaker 1:So in terms of that like if Bill looked at her who method and we went, okay, we're going to use her as example because she's fresh in our mind and I know that the potential of what she could do would be amazing. So you go, okay, who would it be? For that's on you. You go, you're now having a conversation. I was like I've noticed I'm talking a lot here, so I'm gonna throw this one to me. Yeah, right, who would it?
Speaker 2:be, you can leave that in, but I'm just like in outer space. I'm not going to leave that in.
Speaker 1:I'm just sitting back going Wow, kristen, you're so interesting, I'm definitely not going to edit this out. I'm going to leave that in there because it was so priceless. You just get me like, yeah, yeah, who is it for? I'm like why can't you answer it?
Speaker 2:You tell me who it's for? You're the one talking, Okay, it Tell me who it's for. You're the one talking Okay, who's the VA course for? Well, in our world, in caravans, right? She could be talking to mums who want to travel with their family on the road, but they just don't know how to replace their wage. Like how, how can I travel around Australia and make money when you know I'm a teacher back at home and I've only got six months long service leave? And how am I going to make money on the road?
Speaker 1:And it's one of those things that you know, do this for yourself. So if you're thinking, okay, I want to do this and I want to create a course around how to look after houseplants, okay, who's it for? And you go, oh, it's for people like houseplants. Okay, most nine times out of 10, I want to say, most women buy the houseplants inside the house. Okay, so now we're getting down to women. Okay, now we you know, is it how to grow, how to look after, how to buy, like, what is it Like? You just keep going until you feel like that's who I'm talking to. So then you go all right, we'll go back to Belle. What, what do they want? Like, what does her ideal customer want? And you kind of nailed that in that first bit with who it is. Who is it that? What they want? Is they want that financial freedom. Potentially they want that ability to be able to live the life that Belle's living, live that caravan life, travel with their family and still get paid.
Speaker 2:So, but you need to know that yourself and it's understanding what they want in terms of what problem you are solving by creating your thing and really getting deep on that Before we go to the next W, which is another thing that we really drill into our members too is you need to create the content and grow an audience so you can understand what they want, what's their problem.
Speaker 2:You need to build that audience and understand them, ask them questions, communicate with them before you go and build something, because if you don't, how the hell are you going to know what their problems are? If you're not talking to these people and this goes into what we teach in the backup before you build it too is really validating your idea before you go and spend a bunch of time building it. So and I think a lot of people in this space think that they're going to jump on tiktok, create a few tiktoks, sell a bunch of courses and be rich doesn't work like that. You've got to build that audience. Repetition, speak to them, figure it out, test and really hone in on this who method before you even think about building something, yeah, and that leads perfectly into the next W, which is why do they need it?
Speaker 1:Like sometimes in this course creation space, we just create something because we think I'd like to do that, I'd like to create a course on Canva, because I'm really good at Canva. I'm going to. But then if I go, hang on, who's it for? What do they want? Why do they need it? You're breaking it down to actually go okay, do they really need it? Why do they really need it? Who is it that needs it? So it might be all well and good to create something because you want to create it, but if it's not solving a problem, you're wasting your time and you're wasting your money and you are leaving a lot of money on the table. So why do they need? It is a big one. And so if we again because we're talking about Bell, she's getting a video shout out this podcast If we go back to but hopefully you can align it with your thoughts as well so if we go back to, why do they need it? So, for example, I'd love to travel Australia in a caravan. I wouldn't, not that I wouldn't know where to start, but financially and to school my children and to pack everything, I'd feel quite overwhelmed and yet let alone to potentially want to get paid on the road and be able to sustain my wage if I wasn't doing what we're doing now. And so if I'm like Googling, like how do I make money while we're there, because my husband this and I'm my partner this, and I stumble across Bell's thing and I see, hang on a minute, I could be a VA and I could do it in the time in the caravan. I have got skills because I've worked in corporate and I can plan this and I can. Yeah, that's great. So why do they need? It is because it's solving a problem of I want to travel a whole year but there's no way I can do it just on my partner's wage. I need to provide as well. But how do I do that when I don't have a job? So it's getting into the nitty gritty of these things and really understanding your ideal customer enough so that when you create the messaging, you're speaking directly to them in that problem solving thing, in that problem solving phase of everything. And so then, once you've kind of got that side of it, it's how will it help them? And these all kind of answer each other. When you get them right, when you start kind of unraveling them and you start to pull them apart and see them and write them down and hear what you're saying, then you go oh, hang on a minute. Oh, I do know who it's for, I do know what it is, I do know the way that it. Oh, how will it help them? Oh well, it's going to allow them to be able to take on three clients, or allow them to learn what they are excellent at in this space, so that they can now go and promote themselves on social media. Or they can now go and get three clients so that, all of a sudden, they can get paid on the road. So how will it help them?
Speaker 1:All these things interconnect in some wonderful way, and that's why this method is so important to just go over and over and over again, because then the last one is you're offering them a solution. So what's that solution? So how many solutions? For example, we'll go back to Bill. Could Bill have? She's gone through that process and gone. Oh, okay, I've got an offer. I know what I want to do Now. I want to back it before I build it.
Speaker 2:What's my offer going to be? And that's another thing like what's going to be best for these people traveling on the road. Is it a course that they can finish in two days and just get started? Or is it a membership where I've got ongoing help, where I can help them? You know they can chime in once a week and we can talk about things. And it's like, how are you going to package up this stuff to present to them? That's going to, you know, suit them and suit the travel lifestyle and, you know, provide them with that solution of, okay, I can do this from wherever. I haven't got internet reception all the time. So what's going to be the best way to present this information to them?
Speaker 1:So you really got to figure out how it's going to benefit them the most in a mode or model that is going to suit that particular target audience too, and so I think it's something that you know if you're curious about this space, and the biggest thing is is this can all feel quite overwhelming because you're like I don't know, like nobody will buy my thing Nobody. And that's why you need to go through this process in terms of what excites you, what lights you up, what do you want to teach people, what have you learned in your lifetime? And if we go to the list that we kind of brainstormed ourselves in terms of the people around us that we know there's people we've got legal people, we've got VA, we've got pattern maker Now that's a story that we know of somebody in our community, in our mastermind community, that we know who has been successful with creating a membership, that she works with people everyday, people that want to learn how to create patterns from sewing, and it hasn't been incredibly successful in that space. There's yoga, fitness, roller skating. We've got a member inside of our community who is an incredible roller skater and she's a mom and she's a fitness coach and she's trying to put it all together and so giving her and shout out to Tash, if you're listening giving her some, maybe opportunities of you know, we had a crazy conversation.
Speaker 1:We'll drop another little nugget here. And, mia, what did you say about if Tash was to create her TikToks and had that? You know, like the personal brand thing when you see a content creator and you're like, oh, that's the person that you know wears pink or that's the person that wears glasses, mia dropped a great one for Tash. So, tash, you can take this on board if you would like to.
Speaker 2:Well, I was just thinking of Tash. Like she's great at roller skating. So what if every single video of hers she had her roller skates on, or there was some sort of skating element in there, or there was like the roller skates in the background, or you know it was on the table, or it was just somewhere.
Speaker 1:That becomes that like, oh, that's Tash, you know, just thinking outside the box.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and, for example, tash might be thinking about creating a mini course on how to get started in rollerblading or roller skating if you're over 40. You know, there might be a group of women who, even for me, for example, I would love to get into that, but I don't know where to start. I don't know what skates to get, I don't know where to go and practice. How am I going to do this without breaking my back? And like, what's the safety things to go through? Imagine if there's like a little mini course or a guide that I could download and go through all that first. So it's, but you're not going to know that until you start. You know doing market research and building a bit of an audience, but the opportunities are just endless. When you really think about, okay, what can I talk about forever in a day that I love and what problem can I solve in that niche, it's really exciting to, yeah, realize what you could actually do in that space.
Speaker 1:So if you have been listening to this and had some obvious laughs along the way, because it's been a bit of a rat bag episode there was a people at the door. I've cut some of that out. The dog's barking cut that out. But anyway, editing to be done I suppose the most important thing for takeaway. If you're in that space right now where you are curious enough to be like I think I'm ready to go to the next level, like I'm pretty sure that I'm ready to create a digital product, a digital course, membership, something like that, bigger that's reoccurring, that I create once and I sell it over and over again. That's from passion and purpose and I want to. That's what I want to do Then what we would say is brainstorm, just get out a piece of paper, get the ideas out on that piece of paper, just let it all out, drill down to three.
Speaker 1:Once you've got those three, drill down again to that who method. Okay. So remember that who method is. Who is it for? What do they want? Why do they need it, how will it help them, and then offer a solution. So that who method is something you can use in your content, but it's something that you can use in this and when you do it this way, you need to go deeper and deeper and deeper. And then, when you think you've got that well, you want to come in the membership because we've got to go to the next bit.
Speaker 2:When you've got that part, we're going to teach you how to get paid for your idea before you actually even go and build it, which is really exciting, yeah.
Speaker 1:So it's something that we want you to see what's possible from your ideas. And then, especially inside the membership, we're going to help our members understand and see how they actually can start creating it. So if you're not in the membership, that's cool. Still, do this work. Get to a point where you look at that piece of paper and go, huh, okay, maybe somebody might pay for this, and then we can move to that next level, and then you can get that validation of actually having somebody pay for it, and then you create it and you share that with them, and that's a whole different process, which is magnificent on its own. But for right now, go ahead, do that job. Let us know how you go. Drop in the DMs on the socials. Let us know how you go, because it's a process that will really help you get outside your own head.
Speaker 1:Think outside the box. Think of the skill set you've got, what you've learned in this digital space. If you're new to it, amazing. If you've been in it during this master research, you might feel really stuck, like I don't know who to sell it to, because my audience are the same people that everyone else's audience are. Well, now it's time for you just to take a big old breath and go, okay, cool, let's think about the me prior to this, or what I've learned in the past, or something that's unique to me that I can share, and niche down a community to then potentially sell the Master Reseller Arts to, or to take what you've learned there, and go, cool, I learned all that. That was wonderful. Now I'm learning this and I'm going to create my own thing and I'm going to make money from my own thing and my own digital product, my own digital course.
Speaker 2:So exciting and you don't have to stay stuck in this how to make money online niche. There's a bigger world out there waiting for you to you know. Put all of your skills into and grow a really fantastic business that lights you up. If talking about digital marketing and how to make money online isn't lighting you up, then you're not going to get far.
Speaker 1:So do the work and you'll come up with something Pretty funny. I just had a side thought that I'm definitely going to leave the podcast. I was thinking, wow, this one time Mia hasn't brought up the horse one. She often likes a bit of a horse example. So if you were like someone that liked horses and I'm not, even if you're a long-time listener you'll get that gag. If you knew, mia obviously often does an example of like yeah, you know, like if you were creating a course about horses. Lol, I don't even know what I know, but I'm surprised you didn't come out today all right, we're gonna shift gears into the love.
Speaker 1:Don't love, mia. What do you love?
Speaker 2:don't love, so my don't love this week is how much it bloody costs for kids to have music lessons. Holy camoly. I took my son to his very first drum lesson yesterday and he loved it. It was great, you know, fantastic. Might regret that one later when I have to go buy a drum kit.
Speaker 1:Unless he's in some wicked band, and then you'll be like best decision ever yeah.
Speaker 2:But on the flip side, my loves was seeing him learn something new and just getting a thrill out of it. And yeah, it was really good.

Speaker 1:Instead there's gonna be a downfall for either of it, but like it's very first world problem. Totally appreciate that. But um, I've just noticed that recently I'm like I just need a brain switch off at the end of the night and nothing is doing it for me.
Speaker 1:That's a side note and I know, and I was mad for some maps absolutely mad for some maps, so that's a bit sad, um, but my love this week is was Easter with the fam bam. Uh, the kids went, the other members of my fam bam went. Just being out, just being somewhere that I just love, like just water skiing being a dag, just no phone reception that was amazing.
